Buffalo Chip Cookies
Grandma Judkins (1987)

1 cup (2 sticks) margarine, melted
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup oats
1 cup corn flakes
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 6oz. pkg chocolate chips
1 cup pecans, chopped

BLEND melted margarine, brown sugar and white sugar.   ADD eggs, vanilla, oats and corn flakes. Mix well.  ADD flour, baking soda and baking powder; stir until well blended.  ADD chocolate chips and pecan and mix until blended. Drop by teaspoon full onto a cookie sheet.
Bake 325F degrees for 13 to 15 minutes

Try not to over bake them as these cookies will get very hard. Make adjustments with the heat of your oven and baking time. Also the type of cookie sheet you use makes a difference as well.

Don't forget to have a cup of coffee, tea or milk when you serve a fresh baked batch for your family or office!

NOTE:   For special occasions I double this recipe so I have enough to share and keep. These cookies are so good.

Mom used an ice cream scoop to make "huge" cookies for Christmas one time.

These cookies can also be made into bar cookies. Just use a flat baking sheet and spread the cookie dough evenly over baking sheet.
