Mary's Chocolate Chip Cookies
Received July 1996

1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter/margarine
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
1 Tablespoon vanilla
2 eggs
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
24 oz. pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips             

MIX butter, both sugars, vanilla and eggs in a large bowl. STIR in flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well. STIR in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoon about 2" apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350F degrees about 12-15 minutes.

Optional: Add 1/2 cup chopped pecans

USE 1 Tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar plus sweet milk to make 1 cup. (Let stand 5 minutes before using)
