6 teaspoons cornstarch
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/2 package of strawberry gelatin
Few drops of red food coloring
1 pint fresh strawberries, washed/sliced
1/2 pint whipped cream
1 pie crust, baked
Cook cornstarch, water and sugar until thick. Remove from heat, add gelatin and food coloring. Stir until dissolved, let cool.
Take sliced and dried strawberries and cover bottom of pie crust. Save some berries aside for topping.
After mixture has cooled, fold in whipped cream and arrange extra strawberries on top. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
