Stuffed Bread

1 Loaf French bread cut in half and bottom half hollowed out, save crumbs           
1lb. hamburger
1 can cheddar cheese soup                                                             1/3 cup onion, chopped                                                                     1-2 celery stalks, chopped                                                                1/3 cup bell pepper, chopped 
Salt & Pepper to taste
Velveeta Cheese (about half carton cut in slices)                       
Cook hamburger until pink is nearly gone, then add onion, celery and bell pepper. Cook together until tender. Drain off any extra grease.

ADD bread crumbs and cheddar cheese soup, stir well then spoon into hollowed bottom of the french bread.

Top with slices of Velveeta cheese and cover with the top half of the french bread. Wrap in foil and bake at 350F degrees for about 15 minutes.  Slice and serve with your favorite garden salad.

TIP:

How to make buttermilk when you don't have any or don't use buttermilk daily.

USE 1 Tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar plus sweet milk to make 1 cup (let stand for 5 minutes before using)

NOTE:
The pre-packaged cornbread mixes are very good and they are quick & easy to fix in a pinch. Just try different brands until you find one you like. Of course, nothing is as good as homemade cornbread.
