Granny Ann's Salad Section

Strawberry Salad


2 (3 oz.) pkgs strawberry gelatin
2 cup boiling water
2 mashed bananas
2 (10 oz) pkgs frozen strawberries
1/4 cup pineapple, drained

NOTE: Reserve 1/4 cup gelatin for topping

In saucepan bring water to boiling and add strawberry gelatin. Remove from heat and stir until completely dissolved. ADD frozen strawberries to hot gelatin, then add pineapple and bananas. Let set in refrigerator until firm.

TOPPING:

1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 small carton whip cream, whipped
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup reserved strawberry gelatin, cooled

Mix cream cheese, vanilla and powdered sugar together well. Fold in whipped cream then add cooled 1/4 cup gelatin. Spread over strawberry gelatin from refrigerator and sprinkle with chopped pecans.

Makes a great dessert!!
